 Stanbra Powell Tee Off for Charity at Banbury United Golf Day

The Stanbra Powell team swapped property viewings for putting greens last week as we joined Banbury United’s Charity Golf Day at Cherwell Edge Golf Course, helping to raise £880 for the Epilepsy Society.

Seven teams made up of Banbury United players, directors, sponsors and friends came together for a competitive — and highly entertaining — day of golf. Representing Stanbra Powell were Directors Martin Upton, Adam Prewer and Alex Lock, who were proud to support such a worthwhile cause and enjoy a great day alongside so many familiar faces from the local community.

We were delighted to see Martin and Ellie Thornton from the Epilepsy Society join the event to receive the cheque and thank everyone involved for their fundraising efforts.

Competition was tight throughout the afternoon, with Banbury United’s Chairman narrowly clinching victory over the first team by just a single point! Special mentions went to Ben Perry of Tech Professionals for Nearest the Pin on the 7th hole, and Craig Barry of Greene King for the Longest Drive on the 9th.

A big thank you to Greene King for kindly sponsoring the free bar and prizes, and to Cherwell Edge Golf Course for putting on such a fantastic day.
